Fat loss is complex and there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Oftentimes, a healthy diet and regular exercise may not be enough. When this is the case, it is important to look deeper into the cause of stubborn weight gain.
I explore and treat various causes of weight gain with my patients, which include:
Hormonal imbalance / dysfunction
Exposure to xenoestrogens and endocrine-disrupting compounds
Lack of exercise or ineffective exercise
Digestive issues, such as methanogenic bacterial overgrowth as seen in types of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)
